Blessings of Labor Day

I am still trying to do more listening than talking and I love to talk.  So, I have to read for awhile before I can get my mind chatter to slow down and refocus. My blueprint to heaven has me stopped at the Labor Day block.  I will turn to my bible and reference Labor.

I have to admit that I am feeling more confident and less conflicted.

This is what I found in Revelation 14:13 and it is one of the seven Beatitudes of the book of Revelations.  A Beatitude is a Blessing.  When Jesus gave His sermon on the mount, He gave us eight of them.

My bible states,"When I heard a voice from heaven say Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit,"they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."

Did you see that our deeds will follow us?  Still, the only path to heaven is through Jesus and His Grace!  And we are BLESSED because of our faith in Jesus's Grace.  This also reminds me that we should rest in the Lord.

So, on this Labor Day weekend that is exactly what we are doing in this family.  No computers or internet or electronic brain breakers.  Just our bibles, notebooks and time spent resting and listening.

I think that Labor Day has become even more work.  Retail stores hit a full swing of sales, offices stay open and everyone feels the need to entertain. I remember when nothing was open, not even a convenience store.  It has now involved into another type of working day for American workers, when it was originally meant to honor the manual/hourly wage laborers of America.

Take some time this weekend to honor American workers, yourself and mostly, Jesus!
God Bless America!
