I decided to rename my blog because I seem to talk about more than just parenting and kids. Of course being human has made me knowledgeable in all areas of life. Or so I feel, don't you? Opinionated could be another description. I like knowledgeable instead. :)
Take a deep breath and breathe in the life God has given to you. Now exhale all of the negative thoughts, worries, illnesses and anything else that is not from the goodness of God. Keep doing it until you have gotten the nasty, gooped up gunk out of your system. Say each one out loud and wave bye as they leave you. Now take a deep breath in and say the Holy Spirit is in me and I am a child of God. Deserving of His goodness and love.
Will this instantly take care of your financial situation? No. Will this instantly take care of your life situations? No, again. Having the Holy Spirit to assist you during your day in everything you do, yes I SAID EVERYTHING, could turn your life around. You have to make the decisions and you have to have the right actions. He is not one of those magic wand, genie type of gods. He is THE GOD! Gave us a book to use as our life manual. You know the one...B-I-B-L-E that's the book for me.
Did you know that when you stand in front of God, Jesus stands in front of you? God looks through Jesus to see all of your goodness. Whew! That was important fact for me. Because my past is paved with the roads of stupidity, bad decisions, unkind words...Deep breath in, "I am a child of God". "I am a child of God." OK, the past is over, ask forgiveness and go on. But go on trying to follow God's ways, not repeating the past.
And when the devil trys to remind you how unworthy you really are or that your past is so bad...You remind him that Jesus won our victory on the cross! By Grace we are forgiven and we are given permission to move forward with our lives. Live God's glory! The devil also knows his time will come when he will lose and be sentenced to hell. He is just trying to take as many of us as he can with him. Don't let him take you!
Hope for the day is found in Psalm 18
I love you, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies.
